Mark Bochan, MD, PhD, FIDSA
Dr. Bochan received an MD at Indiana University Medical School while concomitantly finishing his PhD in Immunology. He did his internal medicine training at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis and completed his Infectious Disease fellowship at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. Dr. Bochan is a consultant in infectious disease with Infectious Disease of Indiana, and Director of the St Vincent Outpatient Treatment Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He is a national speaker on outpatient infusion systems and care integration with recent national publications in health economics as well as co-founder of Outpatient Integrated Strategies, a corporation specializing in Outpatient Care and Transitions. He is the Director of Transplant/VAD Infectious Diseases, and the Chairman of the Department of Infectious Disease at St Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN as well as a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Dr. Bochan holds a patent, Pro-Apoptotic Bacterial Vaccines to Enhance Cellular Immune Responses, in the United States and 9 other countries for the development of a novel Mycobacterium tuberculosis vaccine. He has published numerous peer reviewed research manuscripts along with being the principle investigator in many clinical trials. In his spare time he enjoys playing competitive volleyball, refurbishing antique furniture and spending time with his family.
